We are born, we grow up and we understand how important it is to take care of our environment, our planet.

And yes, it may seem that the planet Earth is too big and we are too small, but you can’t imagine the huge changes we could achieve with small adjustments that make our routine more environmentally friendly.

There we confirm that small changes make big differences, don’t you think?

It’s no secret that in recent years pollution has had consequences that affect us in some way. That’s why it’s so important to start learning ways to lessen that impact so that this planet is a place we love to inhabit (as it is now).

So…

How to live a more eco-friendly life?

First, let’s start by understanding what “eco-friendly” means, although you may already know what it means.

It refers precisely to not harming the Earth. When we are friendly with the planet, we avoid products or services that could harm it and prefer to choose options that do not harm.

Taking this into account, some ways to lead a more eco-friendly life are…

#1. Turn off the lights. Sometimes we get distracted and leave lights, TVs, or computers on, but can you imagine the change you’d make without wasting that energy? It’s the beginning of big changes!

#2. Take your own bags to the supermarket. Grocery bags should become your best friend. We can’t tell you how important it is to stop using so many plastic grocery bags. Better to replace them with cloth bags.

#3. Buy second-hand clothes. There are many clothes that can have more years of life when you buy them second-hand. This is very important because the fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries.

#4. Replace plastic with glass. Whether for the tupperware you take to work, the bottles you have in your fridge, or the containers in which you keep your vegetables, it is important to forget about plastic and opt for options that last longer and are less polluting to the oceans.

#5. Eat local and organic. Although organic food requires more effort, it has been proven that it requires 30% to 50% less energy to produce.

We’ve already shown you that with small changes you can make a HUGE impact on the environment. And it is also our responsibility to make those adjustments that can take care of the planet.

If you don’t know where to start, it doesn’t matter, but at least try.

Love,

Maka.
